Experts at the forum noted that these technologies are expected to deliver tangible results within three to five years, providing strong support in addressing global risks such as traffic congestion, pollution, diseases, and climate pressures.

Regarded as key innovations likely to achieve short-term breakthroughs and tackle pressing global issues, the list aims to guide action. Jeremy Jurgens, WEF Managing Director, stated, “This research helps global leaders clearly understand which technologies are soon to be deployed, how they will solve urgent worldwide problems, and what conditions are needed to scale them responsibly.”

The selection reflects a focus on both technological advancement and practical impact, spanning healthcare, energy, environmental protection, and digital security. As these technologies move toward application, they could reshape industries and offer new solutions to some of humanity’s most critical challenges.
