This week, the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 plans to finalize a new agreement with the village’s developers and investors to advance the project. Collaborating with Coima Sgr (a real estate investment firm) and Fondo Porta Romana, the foundation is already focused on the venue’s post-Olympic future: just one month after the Games conclude, the village will be converted into student dormitories as part of its legacy plan.
The conversion will include adding 300 new beds, bringing the total capacity to 1,700. This repurposing aligns with Milano Cortina 2026’s commitment to “sustainable legacy,” ensuring the infrastructure serves long-term community needs beyond the event.
A spokesperson for Coima Sgr noted that the early completion reflects “efficient coordination between construction teams and organizers,” while foundation officials highlighted the village’s design as “flexible by nature—built to adapt from athlete housing to student living seamlessly.”
